About

Founded in March 2015 by Kit McCarthy, the Republic of Mcarthia is an small unrecognised nation in Scotland. Known for its role in the MicroWiki community and its associated ventures there, Mcarthia developed into a major micronational player.

Following a period of inactivity between July and October 2016, the Republic is in the process of re-establishing itself with a new constitution and legal system.
